Fall 2022 update

With the late start to summer this year, we are still enjoying the warm weather and sun rays as fall is taking its time to arrive. Temperatures are still in the mid twenties during the day, but the mornings and evenings are crisp. Tourism levels were strong all summer, and this has continued into fall. People are still out biking and hiking, paddleboarding on our beautiful lakes and enjoying nature walks. The bike park and Whistler’s Golf Courses are now closed for the season. Events such as the Whistler Concert Series and Crankworx were all back this year and popular with tourists and locals alike. Whistler’s fall events are celebrating a come back this year as well as the food and drink festival – Cornucopia – returning this November.

Fun things to do this Fall

There are still plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy while the beautiful weather lasts including Hiking trails and Whistler’s Cross Country Bike trails. For more info on hiking in this area, please visit our Summer 2022 Blog Entry.

Fall is a great time for biking with moderate temperatures, tacky trails and fewer riders around. The extensive Cross-Country Biking network in Whistler offers a variety of single tracks for different skill levels with fun turns, granite rock rolls and different wood works. Tracks range from green entry level trails to more technical ascends and descends through old-growth rainforest and alpine meadows.

For all the thrill seekers – Whistler Bungee is British Columbia’s highest and pristine year-round bungee jumping site, located 15km south of Whistler Village. The drop is off the 160ft. bridge towering over the glacier fed Cheakamus River. Bungee Jumping in Whistler is open throughout Winter too, when hours of operation will change to 12pm to 3pm. This is a thrill of a lifetime!
